Firestick & Fire TV Setup

Works on Fire TV Stick (1st gen and up), Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV smart TVs.

1
Allow apps from unknown sources
From the Firestick home screen, go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources. If Developer Options is hidden, go to About and click on the device name 7 times to unlock it.
Why? Firestick blocks third-party apps by default. You'll need this on to install your IPTV player.
2
Install the Downloader app
Return to the home screen. Use the search icon (magnifying glass) and type Downloader. Select the orange Downloader app and click Get or Download to install it.
3
Open Downloader and install your player
Open Downloader. In the URL field, enter the player app link we sent you on WhatsApp (e.g. http://xtrememediatv.com/player.apk). Click Go, wait for the download, then click Install.
Tip: After installing, click Done then Delete to remove the APK file and save space.
4
Open the player and find your device ID
Launch the IPTV player from your apps list. On first launch it will display a unique MAC address or Device ID on screen. Take a photo or write it down — you'll need to send this to us on WhatsApp.
5
Send your device ID to XtremeMedia
Message us your Device ID on WhatsApp. We'll activate your subscription on our server within minutes. You'll get a confirmation message when it's done.
6
Enter your subscription details
Once we confirm activation, restart the player. Enter the username, password, and server URL we provided you exactly as shown — they're case-sensitive.
Tip: Use the on-screen keyboard slowly. Many setup issues come from typos in the username or password.
7
Wait for the channel list to load
The first time you log in, the player will download the full channel list, EPG (TV guide), and movie/series catalogue. This can take 1–3 minutes depending on your internet speed. Don't close the app during this process.
8
Start watching
You're done. Browse Live TV, Movies, or Series from the main menu. We recommend visiting Settings in the player to set your preferred stream quality (Auto, FHD, or 4K) based on your internet speed.

Common Issues

The player says "Invalid credentials" or won't log in
Double-check the username and password — they're case-sensitive. The most common cause is mistyping a capital letter or confusing the number 0 with the letter O. If you've checked carefully and it still won't work, message us on WhatsApp and we'll verify your account is active.
Streams keep buffering
Buffering is almost always an internet speed issue, not a server one. Run a speed test on your Firestick (search "AnalyzeNetwork" in the app store). For HD streams you need at least 10 Mbps; for 4K, 25+ Mbps. Restart your router, move the Firestick closer to the router, or switch to a 5GHz Wi-Fi network if possible.
I can't find Developer Options in Settings
Newer Firestick models hide it by default. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About, then click the first item (your device name) 7 times rapidly. You'll see "You are now a developer." Go back and Developer Options will appear.
Some channels don't load but others do
This usually means a single source server is temporarily down — not your whole subscription. Try the same channel again in 10 minutes. If multiple channels in the same category are affected, check the Status page on our website or message us.

Android TV & Android Box Setup

Works on any Android TV (Sony, Philips, TCL, Hisense), Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, and generic Android TV boxes (MXQ, X96, T95 etc.).

~10 minutes
Beginner friendly
1
Enable installation from unknown sources
Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Security & Restrictions → Unknown Sources. Toggle on the browser or file manager you'll use to download the player app.
Note: Menu names vary slightly by manufacturer. On some boxes it's Settings → Personal → Security.
2
Install Downloader or a file manager
Open the Google Play Store, search for Downloader by AFTVnews, and install it. If your device doesn't have Play Store, install any APK-capable file manager such as X-plore File Manager or File Commander.
3
Download the IPTV player
Open Downloader. Enter the player URL we sent you on WhatsApp (e.g. http://xtrememediatv.com/player.apk). Press Go. When the download finishes, click Install when prompted.
4
Launch the player and locate your device ID
Open the player from your apps drawer. The first screen will display a MAC address or Device ID. Note this down — we need it to activate your account.
5
Send your device ID via WhatsApp
Message us the Device ID on WhatsApp. We'll register it on our server and reply with confirmation, usually within a few minutes.
6
Enter your login details
Once activated, restart the player. Enter your username, password, and server URL exactly as we provided. These are case-sensitive — even a single wrong character will fail.
7
Allow content to load
The player will fetch channels, the EPG, and the VOD library on first launch. Give it 1–3 minutes. Don't force-close the app during this initial sync.
8
Customise and enjoy
Visit the player settings to enable hardware decoding (recommended on most Android boxes), set your preferred audio language, and choose your default stream quality. You're now ready to watch.
Tip: If your Android box gets warm or stutters on 4K, try lowering to FHD in the player settings — many cheaper boxes can't decode 4K HEVC reliably.

Common Issues

The APK won't install — "App not installed" error
Three usual causes: (1) you haven't enabled Unknown Sources for the app you're using to install, (2) you're trying to install a 32-bit APK on a 64-bit-only device or vice versa — message us for the right version, (3) there's not enough storage. Clear some space and try again.
Picture is choppy or audio drifts out of sync
In the player settings, switch the decoder to Hardware (HW+) or Hardware. If it's already on hardware, try Software instead. Different Android boxes prefer different decoders. If audio drifts only on certain channels, that's a source feed issue and not your device.
The player crashes when I open Movies or Series
The VOD library is large and some Android boxes with under 2GB RAM struggle to load all of it at once. In the player settings, look for Limit VOD load or Lazy load and enable it. Restart the app afterward.
EPG (TV guide) shows the wrong times
Go to player settings and check the EPG Time Offset or Timezone. Set it to match your local timezone. Restart the app for the change to apply.
Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting on cheap Android boxes
Many budget Android boxes have weak Wi-Fi chips. If possible, plug it into your router with an Ethernet cable for stable streaming — this fixes about 80% of buffering complaints we get from Android box users.
